JCAHO's Joint Commission International (JCI) was founded in the late 1990s to survey hospitals outside of the United States. JCI, which is also not-for-profit, currently accredits facilities in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and South America. JCI accreditation is considered the gold standard in global health care.
Dar Al Fouad Hospital is proud to be accredited by the JCI for the fourth time in a row. We were the first hospital in Egypt to achieve JCI accreditation in 2005 and ever since, we have been maintained the status of accreditation in 2008, 2011 and in 2014. The accreditation is granted after ensuring the full compliance with JCI standards with focus in the following priority areas; patient safety, environmental safety, patient rights, delivering the highest quality care to patients, safe use of medications, safe use of anesthesia, prevention and control of infection, in addition to ensuring the competency of hospital staff in providing services and continuous training and development of staff.
