  • Joint pain
  • Neuropathic pain

The department performs intrathecal pump implant surgery to treat various chronic pains and spasticity that are unresponsive to other treatments. The department has the capability to perform Spinal Cord Stimulation in cooperation with the pain clinic of Cleveland Clinic.

The department also offers acute pain management services to postsurgical and trauma patients.

The DAFH Pain Clinic is a specialized department of anesthesiology department in collaboration with the pain clinic of the Cleveland Clinic. Its physicians are dedicated to the evaluation, diagnosis and application of interventional techniques for the treatment of patients suffering from chronic pain. Patients referred to the clinic often have pain that has not responded to treatment or are seeking non-surgical pain relief.

In 2010, DAFH will proudly sponsor its first Pain Management Conference in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic to promote pain education. Information on the latest conference, click here.
