Dar Al Fouad Hospital’s Check-up Program is one of the most sophisticated medical programs in Egypt and the region.The Check-up Program aims to target and reduce common health risks and uncover potential health problems in order to prevent or treat conditions at an early stage.
The Check-up Program has been designed to ensure the continued productivity and vitality of its participants. The program mimics that of Cleveland Clinic's highly-reputable program, tailored to the needs of Egyptians and Middle Easterners. Participation in this program will help provide you with the health protection you need.
Program components:
- Laboratory tests include a complete blood workup, cholesterol and lipid profile, kidney and liver function, and other important tests
- Radiology investigations:

- Chest x-ray
- Abdominal and pelvic ultrasound
- Resting electrocardiogram (ECG)
- Stress test or echocardiography
- Visual acuity tests and tonometry
- Spirometry
- Audiometer test
- Fiberoptic proctosigmoidoscopy
- Hemocult test
- Physical fitness profile

- Doppler study for carotids
- Dental and oral examination
- Nutrition counseling
- Complete eye care
- Internal medicine consultation
- Gynecology consultation for females and andrology consultation for males
Additional Services For Females:
The program offers a pap smear exam, mammography and bone densitometry. A full detailed report of the patient’s overall condition is delivered to the patient and company medical consultant within 10-12 days from the check-up date.
Important Notes:
- It is advised that the patient call 4-5 days in advance to schedule the appointment. (Please note that if the patient needs to schedule an earlier appointment, please let us know)
- Check-up Program days are reserved from Saturday to Thursday.
- Once the appointment is scheduled, the patient receives a Medical History Questionnaire, and a welcome letter with instructions that must be followed the day prior to the appointment.
- The Health Check-up Program takes one full day to complete (9:30am-5:00pm). However, the patient must return on another day for his or her proctosigmoidoscopy, as this test requires specific preparations on the day of the appointment.
- After the check-up is finished a full medical report is given or sent to the patient within three weeks.
Appointments:
The duration of the Check-up Program is 8 hours, 9:30am-5:30pm.
